In a significant development, the Smiley Children Society has been granted approval under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) by the Ministry of Home Affairs. This approval, valid for five years, comes after numerous checks of legality, transparent accountability, and an intelligence bureau check to the Smiley head office.
The special wing CI of the Ministry of Home Affairs has granted the FCRA permission, allowing the society to receive funds worldwide. This milestone was announced in a press note by Jason Raja, a notable person from the Smiley office. The FCRA approval is a testament to the society’s commitment to transparency and legal compliance, further strengthening its mission to bring smiles to the faces of children and women in need.
