Tirupati: Showcasing Talent through Science Fair

The Regional Science Centre (RSC) in Tirupati is celebrating Children's Day with a two-day Children's Science Festival-2023, organized in collaboration with Tirupati Balotsavam. The festival, which began on Friday, is designed to benefit students by providing them with a platform to showcase their scientific and creative talents. As part of the celebration, a science fair is being held where students can display their models related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Additionally, a science drama contest is being conducted, offering students the opportunity to demonstrate their acting skills while communicating a given theme. Nearly 50 models related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics were exhibited by students from various schools in and around Tirupati. Approximately 10 dramas were performed on the topics 'Science for Better Society' and 'Life and Works of Indian Scientist'.

The Children's Science Festival was inaugurated by G Devendra Babu, TTD Deputy Executive Officer. In his address, he stressed the importance of such science fairs and drama contests, encouraging students to participate in increasing numbers. He believes that such participation will foster a deeper understanding of science among students and cultivate a habit of research and development. The event was presided over by Tirupati Balotsavam President Tenkayala Damodaram. The science fair models will continue to be displayed, and the science drama will be performed at the center on Saturday as well. The festival is open to visitors, providing an opportunity for children to witness their peers' scientific ideas and creativity.
